教学目标:

1.能够听、说、读、写Part A Let’s learn的四会单词:stream, rain, cloud, sun;能够听说认读单词: vapour.

2.能够听、说、认读句型: Where does the rain come from?

3.能够完成Let’s find out的任务。

4.通过学习,了解雨的形成过程,知道rain/cloud/vapour/water之间的联系。

5.培养学生善于观察、乐于思索,从小热爱大自然、热爱科学的良好习惯。

 

教学重点:对四会单词和重点句型的掌握。

 

教学难点:对雨的形成和对水循环知识的初步了解与感知。

 

教学准备:单词卡片,教学课件,教学资料光盘。

 

教学过程设计:

一、Warm-up (热身)

1.      Let’s enjoy a song —— Rain, rain, go away (欣赏一首关于雨的歌曲)

2.      Free talk(教师引导学生进行日常对话练习,主题是天气、季节):

What day is it today?

What’s the weather like today?

What season is it now?

What’s the weather like in spring/ summer/ fall/ winter?

3.      Brain-storm(头脑风暴,让学生说出学过的天气单词):

Can you mention some words about weather?

二、Lead-in (导入)

1.      Listen and find out the weather in Harbin, Beijing and Dong Guan. (结合同步精练里的听力练习,找出哈尔滨、北京和东莞的天气)

2.      Check the answer:

It’s sunny in Harbin. It’s cloudy in Beijing. It’s rainy in Dong Guan.

在检查听力答案的同时,教师板书“sunny”, “cloudy” and “rainy”.

3.      T: Do you like rainy days? Today we’re going to learn “The story of rain”.

三、Presentation (重点呈现)

1.      TThere are five new words for you. The first one is rain. The second one is sun. The third is cloud. (通过联系对比“sunny”, “cloudy” and “rainy”引出三个重点新词:“sun”, “cloud” and “rain”)

2.      T shows a picture: What can you see in the picture?

Ss : I can see the house, mountains, sun, birds, clouds…

T: Oh, the sun is missing. The white clouds are missing, too. The black clouds are coming. Oh, it rains heavily. (通过课件图片,演示雨的形成)

引出重点句:Where does the rain come from? It comes from the clouds. (结合课件图片提示,操练重点句型)

3.      Where does the cloud come from? It comes from the vapour. (Teach “vapour”)

4.      Where does the vapour come from? It comes from the water in the river, sea, stream. (对比“river”, “lake”引出新词“stream”

Practice (巩固操练)

1.      Read new words. (四人小组读单词)

2.      Game: Sharp eyes. (看图片快闪,快速说出单词)

3.      Guess the words. (拼读完整单词)

4.      Choose the right words. (结合句子意思,选择正确的单词形式填空)

5.      Let’s ask and answer: Where does the ______ come from? It comes from the _______. (对话操练)

6. Let’s find out: What can you see in the picture? (展示大自然的美丽风光,渗透环保和品德教育)

 

教学反思:

本课主要是结合雨的形成过程让学生重点学习有关自然事物名称的单词。由于学生在四年级已经学过天气的相关单词,在五年级也学过季节的相关单词,因此,在设计本课教学时,通过复习旧知,对比联系新词,从而引出对新词的学习,能让学生快速掌握单词。雨的形成过程较为抽象,因此结合形象生动的课件图片,能清晰明了地呈现,也能让学生快速反应整个过程。总的来说,通过练习检测可以看出学生学习效果较好,能熟练掌握四会单词,对雨的形成过程理解较好,能运用重点句型进行问答练习。
